LOS LORES DEL SITH (The Lords of Sith) were created in February, 1997 by four Star Wars fans. What began as a mail group among some friends became, with time and the effort of their members, a prime reference for Latin world Star Wars fans. The topic of this list was, and still is, the debate and information interchange about any and all themes relating the Star Wars Universe. It was the first Spanish language Star Wars mailing list. Two years later, the mailing list has more than two hundred members, including Spanish and Latin American people, and it still remains the only Spanish language Star Wars mailing list.

LS-2.jpg (27094 bytes)Of course, you don't need to be seduced by the Dark Side of the Force to be a member of the LORDS.   LOS LORES DEL SITH is the only place in the Galaxy where the Light and the Dark Side have fun together. LOS LORES DEL SITH is not only a mailing list. The members of the list run another parallel activities as the e-mag "LA SOMBRA DEL SITH" (The Shadow of the Sith).  LA SOMBRA DEL SITH is a free spanish-language electronic magazine about the Star Wars Universe. It is published via web with the cooperation of all the "Lords of Sith" and covers many stuff about the Star Wars Universe. From the films to computer games, including role-playing, kits, merchandising, curiosities, etc. There are four published issues of this e-mag, and its quality increases with each of them, as far as its influence in the Spanish language "warie" world, because it is the only Spanish language on-line free magazine about Star Wars in the world. You can read LA SOMBRA DEL SITH in the following URL: http://www.ciudadfutura.com/sombrasith.   If you want to read it off-line, you can download it as a ZIP file at http://www.ciudadfutura.com/sombrasith/download/index.htm.

LOS LORES DEL SITH have our own IRC channel where we meet especially on Sundays, after 22:00 GMT, in Hispanet network. Our registered channel is #star_wars. We talk mainly about Star Wars, although, sometimes our conversations take some threads deriving in thousands of things having nothing to do with Star Wars... or maybe yes "...From certain point of view".

Sometimes we arrange meeting in certain cities where the members of the mailing list meet themselves, being good occasions to get know that Lord or Lady you only knew by his/her e-mails, or to meet old friends. These meetings have been being organized in Spain, so our Latin American friends haven't come so far because of the distance. We talk about many things concerning what some of us call "The Sacred Trilogy" and try to improve LOS LORES DEL SITH, always in a happy party-style way.

Our next big objective is to make a web page where to organize the maximum of information about Star Wars in Spanish, in addition to mantain a news section about SW. This page will substitute with time the SOMBRA DEL SITH, because this website will have the same contents but actualize on a daily basis. This page will be, so long, the first website of its kind in spanish language in the Net.

I think this can be a brief summary about us. We become more than a simple mailing list a long time ago. Maybe, this group of friends called LOS LORES DEL SITH, are the only way of information for many Spanisk-speaking fans, because the main sources of information avaliable about the SW Universe are focused to English-speaking people, forgetting all those SW fans who don't speak english, but feel the Force as strongly as the rest.

If you are Spanish-speaking and want to receive information about us, or join our mailing list, just send an e-mail to: LoresDelSith@hotmail.com

And, Que La Fuerza Os Acompaņe  (May the Force be with you).
