Echo Station: Exploring Star Wars Beyond The Daily News

Oh, my! I forgot how much I love Star Wars ... Clone Vivisection:
Four Different Outlooks On What Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Has In Store And The Resulting Impressions Of The Film

Updated 5/24/02

Always in motion is the future ...

A long time ago in a website not so far away, five Echo Station regulars undertook a strange mission. We used our nascent Force powers to predict how we would like The Phantom Menace before it came out. Then, after we'd had a chance to see the film, we wrote about our impressions and how accurate (or totally and incredibly *wrong*) our predictions had been. You can see that article here if you like.

We thought it might be fun to try our hands at predictions again for Episode II. This time, rather than wait until a few weeks before the film premieres, we are bravely setting down our predictions months ahead of time. Most of these were written six months before the film opened. (Toryn, as editor, procrastinated and didn't get hers done until January.)

Once the film appears in theaters, we will be adding our thoughts about the movie and making fun of ourselves for our lack of prescience. But for now, please enjoy our speculation.

Oh, and don't write to us telling us where we're wrong. Most of us don't want to know ... not yet! Dexter, especially, has avoided seeing even the trailers for the film. Nevertheless, using only the other films and his deductive reasoning, he came up with some very interesting theories. The same can be said for Shezan, who has seen the trailers but few other spoilers. Please do come back after the movie opens and check out our reviews, and experience our humiliation and triumph as we compare what is written here with the actual film!

Dexter: The Unspoiled - Final review AVAILABLE
"I
have been aggressive in avoiding spoilers for Episode II. I know the title, of course, and many months ago saw some early casting news and a couple of character names."

Shezan: Spoiler Phobic - Final review AVAILABLE
"...
my predictive screenplay here is the product of my imagination, set alight by the three trailers."

Jody Reeves:  Political Junkie and Spoiler Ho - Final review AVAILABLE
"
I've gleaned as much as possible from the Internet regarding the plot of this film."

Toryn Farr:  Spoiler Queen Extraordinaire - Final review AVAILABLE
"I have read every forbidden "scriptment," perused every stolen storyboard, downloaded every image and bootlegged bit of film I could find for the last two and a half years."
