staggering. Allow me
to answer a few of the most frequent questions before you go emailing me, and then
you
can grab files
to your heart's content:

Yes, IGN (or
Snowball) does run ads on this site.
The money from the ads (and yes, they
actually DO pay <g>) lets this site cover it's own costs,
and helps out when I want to do
things like host files such as the ones below that are going to
suck up tons of bandwidth. :-)

don't own the domain. I do.

I, personally, cannot guarantee or swear to the authenticity of
these files. The only
thing that I can tell you is that they have not, in any way,
shape, or form, been edited
by me or anyone else to my knowledge from their original content
as posted to the
internet initially by parties other than myself.

I do not know any of the involved parties on a personal basis
whatsoever. Point of fact,
I'd never even HEARD of any of these people (though I did know
about eFront and some
of the sites mentioned throughout the logs) other than knowing
that "lowtax" ran the
site "somethingawful.com", which was under the eFront
umbrella, because I've been
to that site before.

Why did I put these files on my servers? Because, if they
are what the appear to be
(and based on the legalese letters flowing about them, they appear
to be), then I'm
concerned that people acted in the criminal manner which these
logs describe. You
may, for all intents and purposes, just consider me a concerned
citizen.

Take these files at face value, and assign to them whatever
reality YOU assign to them,
based on all of the information available. For my two cents,
based on the reactions coming
from eFront (letter
1, letter
2), they're 100% real, but again, that's MY opinion, and
you
should always do your own thinking.
The story is OBVIOUSLY of interest. Allow me to share our traffic
spike over the past few days
by comparing our traffic one week ago with what it's been like since I posted
